to offer Multimedia and Short Messaging Service

Glenayre expands its Versera™
Multimedia Messaging (MMS) suite with MMSC and
IP-based SMSC and new MMS applications

15, 2002—Glenayre Technologies, Inc. today
announced an agreement with TeleDNA, a wireless
services products development company, to add
a Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC)
and an IP-based Short Messaging Service Center
(IP-SMSC) and new applications to Glenayre’s
Versera™ Multimedia Messaging suite. The
solution allows service providers to deliver
rich, expressive multimedia messages.
Glenayre’s Versera Multimedia
Messaging suite is a cost-effective solution
that provides a single platform for IP-SMS and
MMS. It can generate immediate revenue for service
providers supporting SMS capabilities, and seamlessly
supports service providers that want to offer
both SMS and MMS-based services. Value-added
applications supported by the Glenayre Versera
Multimedia Messaging suite include:

Multimedia
Messaging - subscribers can create,
send, receive, save and delete multimedia
messages as well as schedule a delivery
time or resend a message. |

Greeting
Cards - subscribers can create,
send and receive greeting cards. |

Photo Albums
- subscribers can create, send, receive,
save delete, and display photos. |
These applications allow subscribers to create
more expressive messages with artistic fonts
and graphics, animated images, full color photos
and streaming audio and video files. Multimedia
subscribers will be able to immediately view
and store multimedia messages they receive in
their MMS terminals or personal computers. Non-multimedia
subscribers will receive an SMS notification
directing them to the multimedia message for
viewing online.
