IPWIN (A Public WiFi Solution)

TeleDNA’s versatile IPWIN solution aids in providing high speed wireless Internet access for business customers in public hotspots such as airports, hotel lounges, cafes and train stations. IPWIN would enable a business traveler wirelessly log into his corporate network and working from an airport while he or she is waiting for the next flight. More importantly, he can do this from any airport in the world using the existing GSM/CDMA roaming infrastructure with a single subscription and bill.

IPWIN uses the most widely deployed wireless standard 802.11b(WiFi) to provide this service. This mature and inexpensive WiFi technology can be used for accessing the web or corporate databases and even for realtime applications like Internet telephony. The IPWIN will marry the public wireless access points (WLANs, PAN-Bluetooth) into the existing cellular core network infrastructure.

IPWIN is a complete solution that provides Authentication, Billing, Subscription Management and Network Management. IPWIN can be configured to support an endless list of deployment scenarios - Mobile Network Operator, Wireless ISP, hotel owners, airport lounges, cafeterias, convention halls, warehouses, hospitals, media events etc.

When deployed by a Mobile Network Operator, IPWIN will integrate the WiFi networks into the existing mobile core network infrastructure to make use of already built in roaming agreements, authentication schemes, subscription management and billing. TeleDNA's patent pending SoftSIM technology can be used to replace a hardware based SIM card for authentication of a WiFi user. The same IPWIN can also be used as an AAA and Push Enabler for 2.5G deployments.
