TeleDNA and Jataayu Software announce completion of Interoperability testing between TeleDNA MMSC and Jataayu’s WAP2.0 Gateway to provide Multimedia Messaging Service to Cellular/Mobile subscribers

A major milestone towards providing a rich person-to-person communication for mobile/cellular users

Bangalore, India, May 21, 2002 - Jataayu Software, a leading provider of Wireless Internet software products and the first WAP2.0 gateway vendor in the world and TeleDNA, a wireless services product development company have successfully completed interoperability testing between TeleDNA MMSC and Jataayu WAP2.0 gateway, including the Push functionality. This is a key mile stone in providing multimedia messaging services for mobile users, as the initial MMS capable phones are going to be using WAP based interface for sending and receiving multimedia messages. MMS is very similar to SMS (text messaging), except it provides the mobile/cell phone users the ability to send and receive real images, audio and video clips along with the text.

By accomplishing the interoperability testing, the time to deploy this service for a mobile network operator will be greatly reduced, hence contributing to cost savings. Operators can easily deploy Jataayu's WAP2.0 gateway and TeleDNA's MMSC to enable the MMS service in their networks at a very low cost which supports the existing Nokia 7650 and Sony Ericsson's T68i MMS capable mobile phones.

TeleDNA's MMSC is a highly available, scalable and high performance multimedia messaging center that can provide innovative features for operators to generate revenues immediately. TeleDNA's MMSC provides a complete solution which includes billing, roaming, network management, user profile, portal service and secured external interfaces.
