TeleDNA announces the
launch of innovative MMS features like MMS-Wiretap,
MMS Group Alias and MMS Broadcast Client.

17, 2003 – TeleDNA enhances its Multimedia
Messaging Solution by adding more innovative and
much needed features like MMS-Wiretap for Law
Enforcement Agencies and MMS Broadcast Client
for establishing broadcast categories/groups for
MMS alerts and content delivery.
MMS is emerging to be the next
mass market data application for wireless carriers
around the world. MMS can bring a lot more applications
than what SMS was able to bring to the mobile
community by bridging the gap between the mobile
users and the Internet users. With the MMS service,
anyone can take a picture using a MMS capable
camera phone and send it to a different mobile
phone or to an email user. Such service can also
bring some privacy issues and legal conflicts,
which can make carriers vulnerable for lawsuits
and legal complications. To be able to defend
and prevent such issues, carriers should have
a feature like MMS-Wiretap to filter the content
and be able to send to law enforcement agencies
at any time. TeleDNA MMSC provides this feature
to its customers. By using this feature, wireless
carriers can allow Law Enforcement Agencies to
set filters on a specific user and examine the
content. The filtered MMS content of the MMS users
can be uploaded to Law Enforcement Agency’s
data banks for future examination. Operators/Carriers
can also blacklist specific subscribers from using
the service, if any complaints are received about
misusage.
TeleDNA MMS Broadcast Client
will allow MMS users to subscribe for broadcast
content categories like movie clips, joke of the
day, specific product advertisements and other
promotional schemes. The broadcast groups of MMS
users will receive the MMS alerts of their interests
when something new is available in that category.
TeleDNA Broadcast Client can also be used by operators
and other advertisement agencies/content providers
to broadcast content at any time to all or a group
of MMS users.
